Mission OPC Library

The Mission OPC Library is a collection of 5,000+ titles for adults and children on theological, historical, cultural, and educational topics. These resources are available to members and friends of Mission, to the glory of God.

Library Mission Statement

The purpose of the Mission Orthodox Presbyterian Church Library is to provide a collection of books, DVDs, CDs, and other media as a resource for the edification and education of the members and friends of Mission OPC to the glory of God. We aim to:
(1) Promote spiritual growth and discipleship through study of the Scriptures and the doctrines of the church.
(2) Support Sunday School and other ministries of Mission OPC.
(3) Provide primary and secondary resources for library patrons to accurately understand other traditions, perspectives, and worldviews.
(4) Contribute to the educational needs of congregation members of all ages.
Given the aims of the MOPC Library, patrons are advised that not all works in our collection reflect the beliefs, traditions, and values of Mission OPC or the Reformed tradition. Please use your discretion when checking out books, and, as always, strive to understand what you read in light of biblical truth.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:2

Common questions

Do all the books in the library represent the beliefs of the church?
No, they do not. We aim to provide materials on theological topics for adults and children that faithfully present a biblical Christian perspective—primarily Reformed, but sometimes from other traditions as well. When deciding on works on non-theological topics, we include books we hope will be helpful in understanding the history, philosophy, and culture of the broader world. As noted in the mission statement, readers should use their discretion when selecting and reading materials.
Do you have to be a member of Mission to check out books?
No, you do not. The library is open on Sundays before and after services to anyone who wants to check out books.
How do I check out books?
There is a self-checkout kiosk in the library. Ask for one of the members of the Library Committee to help you set up an account.
Do you accept donations?
Yes! We happily accept donations of books that are in good condition.
