About Mission OPC
Who we are
We are a church of the risen and ascended Lord Jesus Christ. We meet weekly on Sunday for morning and evening worship. We also see each other during the week for service opportunities, small group study, or just because we like each other and want to hang out.
Ask our members what they like best, and they'll likely say the biblical preaching and the sense of community. We're small enough that our members can really get to know one another, and that leads to a caring and nurturing environment where members encourage one another as they grow in faith.
What we believe
About our pastor
Pastor Michael was called by Mission as pastor in 2019. He and his wife, Samantha, both grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago. They have been married since 2010 and have five children.
Michael studied at Monmouth College, Westminster Seminary California, and The Catholic University of America. He enjoys playing Uno and Sorry with his children, playing catch with his son, watching baseball in general, but especially the Chicago Cubs, running, reading in general, but especially Tolstoy.
Michael and Samantha are so grateful to be at Mission, growing together with the saints in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, learning to trust the Father, in the Son, by the Spirit, to bear true witness to the otherworldly love of God poured out in Christ Jesus our Lord.
